How to Write Good Article

1Many struggle writing an article; however, it is not hard to do. There are several tips that can help such as first selecting a topic. It helps to choose a topic that you feel comfortable with; one that you have some knowledge, experience and background with. Then, write a rough draft. Write anything that comes to your mind. Once this is done, move on.

Focus on your audience

Another tip is when writing, focus on what your audience needs to know. Pretend that you are a reader of your article. Do you want to address single women, a professional group or teens looking for help and guidance on taking an exam? The next step is crucial; gather research for your article. Examples of what to look for are quotes from well-known people, references, statistics or perhaps create a sidebar. Everything that you gather for the article put it in an electronic folder or a folder.

Tighten your draft

Write a tighter draft, bringing in additional and new supporting information you have collected. Or, instead of tightening the draft, revise what you have. As you read, ask yourself are these words effective, are they working? Then, go back and reread your article several times to see if you have everything you need and want in the article. Within your article you want it to contain everything necessary for your reader, everything they need and want as they finish reading it. Then, read, revise and repeat. What really helps is to read your article out loud to a friend.

To conclude, writing an article can be stressful; however, follow the above tips and write an interesting and good article!
